I am a 1st year apprentice out of the carpenters union, after 6 weeks of training,the 3-4 days later I got a call about a job on Eielson that works 4 days out of the week working 10 hour shifts, I am the insallation guy, remodeling the barracks past Amber hall. As long as I wear all the P.P.E. that is neccessary no one gives me any trouble, I love it and they like the work I do, I enjoy the outdoors getting sun, 4wheeling, fishing, camping and many other activities in the summer and snowmachining, working, and hibernating during the cold winter months.
