I wonder how many people know this ? A 36 year old female had an accident several weeks ago along the BALTIMORE INTERSTATE SYSTEM 95 north and Totaled her car . A resident of NEW YORK as she was traving between Baltimore and NEW YORK It was raining , though not excessively,at the time when her car suddenly began to hydro-plane and literally flew though the air. She was flown to BAL:TIMORE SHOCK TRAUMA with serious injuries and stunned at the sudden occurrence ! WHEN she explained to the highway patrolman what had happened he told her something that every driver should know -NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN /NOW OR ICE WITH YOPUR CRUISE CONTROL ON . SHE THOUGHT she was being cautious by setting the cruise control and maintaining a consistent speed in the rain . But the TROOPER STATED that if the cruise control is onwhen your car begins to hydro-plane and your tires lose contact with the pavement , your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed making you take off like an air-plane . She stated that was exactly what had occured. THE TROOPER SAID THIS WARNING SHOULD BE LISTED ,on the drivers side sun visor - NEVER USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR ICY, along with the airbag warning. WE tell our teenagers to set the cruise control and drive at a safe speed - but we don't tell them to 7use cruise control only when the pavement is dry . The only other person the accident victum found who knew ths (besides the trooper ) was the witness who had a similar accident , totaled his car also with injuries .. so if you send this on to others it may help save a life .. NOTE : some vechicles ( like the Toyota Sienna LIMITED XLE ) will not allow you to set the cruise control when the wipers are on . take care HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS SAVE A LIFE OF A DEAR FREIND OR YOURSELF >>> take carebe safe out there ... rustynail 1955 ...

'TIS DAYS YEARS AND MONTHS OR MORE THEY STOOD ON FOREIGN SOIL'S AND SAID GOOD BYE TO FREINDS THEY'D KNOWN ,IN BLOOD & SEEAT AND TOLL.THEY ARE FATHER'S HUSBAND'S WIVE'S ,FREIND'S OF MANY DIFFERENT KINDS .BUT THESE ARE COMBAT SOLDIERS,& FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN DONT CRY , THEY BOW THEIR HEADS IN TRIBUITE TO THOSE NOT HERE TODAY THOSE MEN AND WOMEN WHO ONCE THEY KNEW AS FREINDS WHO FELL ALONG THE WAY . THEIR RANKS ARE GROWING THINNER NOW ,THE PASSING YEARS WILL TELL BUT THEY ARE SOLDIER'S EVERYONE, WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY WELL,AND SO THEY MEET , EMBRACE,& TALK & REMEMBER DAYS OF YORE FOR THEIRS IS JUST A DEEP DESIRE , TO SEE THEIR FREINDS ONCE MORE. THIS MAY BE THEIR LAST REUNION , FOR SOME IT'S THE LAST GOODBYE ,TILL THEY MEET AGAIN AT HEVEN'S GATE AT THE REUNION IN THE SKY .
