I moved to Bristol in 1996 from Peterborough - I finished university and went back home (bad move) and quickly decided that if I didnt leave I would just get stuck there. I looked at loads of places to move to - London was too close, I didnt fancy Manchester or Liverpool and the only other city I knew someone in was Bristol - so I packed up the car and off I went. I stumbled into recruitment when I moved to Bristol, I enjoy it because I get to do a new assignment every six/seven weeks - I certainly enjoy the variety. Besides its fun to travel round meeting people and getting paid for doing it! A favourite country? - I reckon it would have to be Malaysia; last time I went there I went overland from KL up to the most northerly province (Terrenganu) It was like stepping back in time, there was absolutely no tourists, signs or even English spoken it was fantastic. It is the only place in the world I have ever been where the best beaches have not been ruined by Hotels. Some of the diving I did was unbelievable, I saw species of fish that I had previously thought were extinct! (well nearly) Its actually quite hard for me to name a favourite dive;a whale shark encounter in Thailand is right up there but also watching the cuttlefish change colour at night in Devon was pretty cool too! - Diving in Egypt is great you get a massive diversity of marine life as well as great vis, great wrecks and usually good weather Last summer 12 of us chartered a boat and went exploring down the deep south of the Red Sea where nobody goes... I have to say that the diving was fantastic swimming with hammerhead sharks, dolphins and turtles every day but at 40-50 degrees it was bloody hot. The place I would most like to visit on the planet Is Nepal. I would really like to go to there and immerse myself in the culture ever since I read Seven Years in Tibet I have had a hankering to visit - not too sure how I would react to the altitude though!
