This is the land of heartbreak,
Where the rivers slowly drown in sorrow,
The leaves bow their heads in shame,
The crickets sing their songs in depression,
The clouds sob in despair,
The sun refuses to show his face,
The thunder bellows out his frustration.

This is where I must stay,
Stay, till you return to me.
And when you do,

The rivers will rush,
New leaves shall be born,
Crickets will dance,
Clouds will clear,
Sun will shine,
Thunder will sleep…

And I will smile.
