REMISSION NOT PERMISSION

Romans 3:25 “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission (means to pardon or give forgiveness) of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” Propitiation is a big word that means satisfaction. Because God is a holy God, His anger and justice burned against sin. And He has sworn that sin would be punished. There must be a satisfactory payment for sin so God said, “If I punish man for his sin, man will die and go to hell. On the other hand, if I don’t punish man for his sin, My justice will never be satisfied.” The solution? God said that He would become our substitute. He would take the sin of mankind upon Himself in agony and blood, a righteous judgment and substitute for sin. His wrath was burned out on the cross when His only Son died as man’s propitiation for sin. And this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. This included past sins, present sins and future sins. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and for the sins of the whole world. The propitiation does not procure his love or make him loving; it only renders it consistent for Him to exercise His is love towards us, the sinners. Since He saved us, there is no longer a need for us to "focus" on even our own sins, all we have to do is confess our sins, and He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. What about other people's sins? Is it our "job" to "worry" about other people sins. Where in the Bible is this? Please anyone show me this! IS THIS NOT GOD'S JOB! It is however our job to love one another. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. I beg you, there are too many people today who "waste" their their time, for some even a lifetime focusing on what other people do and don't do, and we "think" it's our job to propitiate someone else. Wouldn't God prefer us spend this same time learning more about him. We are required to love one another and let God handle the consequences of another. Yet day in and day we all hear from people, "this person has done this, and that person has done that." I understand that they are trying to help, but God doesn't need their help. Who made them judge? They did. If you are relating to this topic right now, "maybe" it’s time that you should repent from this pride and move out of God's way and let him handle it. Is it possible that you may be going through something right now because you might be in the way. Is it possible that you could be causing more harm on them and yourself, then actually helping. Step aside and let God handle it and move on. GOD DID!
