yesterday 6 Canadian soldiers lost their lives in a roadside bombing in afghanistan. they died on the eve of the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in which 3,598 Canadian soldiers lost their lives in retaking of the ridge which the British and French soldiers could not do during World War 1, which the Canadians end up doing. in taking the ridge Canada became a nation in which we have fought in every world war korea and also vietnam. but today we mourn the loss of the 6 soldiers killed in the roadside bombings. one of which cannot be identified.
