America's victims

This is the end of Americas' innocence, and a loss in all of our hearts.

With all of our grievings this is where the war starts.

The whole world stopped on the 11th of september.

With all of americas' victims we always shall remember.

We are a whole nation that is in mourning.

Those who took part in this deplorable act should heed our warning.

We always will remember what happened to the world trade towers.

Those who perpertrated this horror messed with the strongest world powers.

We will not go quietly into that good night.

As for all of us Americans we have to unite.

We can not be pulled apart by our petty differences any longer.

We have to pull together and then that will make us stronger.

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground f ighting street -to-street and house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will never know. ; Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more. Semper Fidelis. Sgt. Howard C. Wright 1st Force Recon Co 1st Plt PLT Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit the fire fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for the survivors and workers and Starbucks charged them! ! ! JUST A NOTE TO THIS; STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS. GO GET 'EM AMERICA. STAND-UP FOR OURSELVES!

Happy Birthday!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket On November 10, 1775, Robert Mullan, the proprietor of the Tavern and son of Peggy Mullan, was commissioned by an act of Congress to raise the first two battalions of Marines, under the leadership of Samuel Nicholas, the first appointed Commandant of the Continental Marines. Nicholas's grandfather was also a member of the Tun Tavern Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and it is this relationship between Mullan, Nicholas and the Tavern which has resulted in Tun Tavern being acknowledged as the birthplace of the United States Marine Corps. There are an estimated three million active and retired U.S. Marines worldwide who have been exposed in their military training to the historical significance of Tun Tavern. Each year on November 10th, around the world Marines toast the Marine's birthplace on the most significant date in the history of the Corps. All U.S. Marines are gung-ho. But, few can match the vision and total commitment of the famous 13th Commandant, Gen. John A. Lejeune. In 1921 he issued Marine Corps Order No. 47, Series 1921. Gen. Lejeune's order summarized the history, mission, and tradition of the Corps. It further directed that the order be read to all Marines on 10 November of each year to honor the founding of the Marine Corps. Thereafter, 10 November became a unique day for U.S. Marines throughout the world. Soon, some Marine commands began to not only honor the birthday, but celebrate it. In 1923 the Marine Barracks at Ft. Mifflin, Pennsylvania, staged a formal dance. The Marines at the Washington Navy Yard arranged a mock battle on the parade ground. At Quantanamo Bay, Cuba, the Marine baseball team played a Cuban team and won, 9 to 8. The first "formal" Birthday Ball took place on Philadelphia in 1925. First class Marine Corps style, all the way! Guests included the Commandant, the Secretary of War (in 1925 the term "politically correct" didn't exist; it was Secretary of War, not Secretary of Defense), and a host of statesmen and elected officials. Prior to the Ball, Gen. Lejeune unveiled a memorial plaque at Tun Tavern. Then the entourage headed for the Benjamin Franklin Hotel and an evening of festivities and frolicking. Over the years the annual Birthday Ball grew and grew, taking on a life of its own. In 1952 the Commandant, Gen. Lemuel C. Shepherd Jr., formalized the cake-cutting ceremony and other traditional observances. For example, Marine Corps policy now mandates that the first piece of cake must be presented to the oldest U.S. Marine present. The second piece goes to the youngest Marine. Among the many such mandates is a solemn reading of the Commandant's birthday message to the Corps. Like the U.S. Marine Corps itself, the annual Birthday Ball has evolved from simple origins to the polished and professional functions of today. Nonetheless, one thing remains constant, the tenth day of November! This unique holiday for warriors is a day of camaraderie, a day to honor Corps and Country. Throughout the world on 10 November, U.S. Marines celebrate the birth of their Corps -- the most loyal, most feared, most revered, and most professional fighting force the world has ever known. My Father

Halloween is usuly a day to smile at the small children all dressed up in their costums and giving out candy. For me, it's a day for remembering the good times with my dad. Donald J Goodwin Sr. Was a Vietnam vet, He was drafted by the U.S. Army. His unit was labled " The leaning shit house." He left the Army in 1971. He had a great life as one of the worlds top computer programers untill he died at the young age of 51 years old on Oct. 25,2001. He died from cancer caused by Agent Orange. He was servived by his wife of over 30yrs, his son, and three grand children. This is in memory of him. "He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than the living man." Everyone is afflicted with tests at some point or another. Life goes on of course, but it is not quite the same when you have lost someone you love. There is the grief you do your best to keep locked away and there is the void that the memories don’t quite fill. Still, we all have to push along. You may find that I talk an awful lot about my father… Well, truth be told, I think about him and miss him a great deal. He was a very good man, who loved his family and friends. Here is a poem that I guess sums it up. They say memories are golden. well maybe thats true But we never wanted memories, we only wanted you. A million times we've needed you A million times we've cried . If love alone could have saved you you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a special place no one could ever fill. If tears could build a stair case And heartache build a lane We'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. To my frieands and family. Thank You for being there when I need you. I could never ask for a better class of people. To my father. I miss you with all of my hart, I truly wish you were here. I know that with out you, I would not be the man that I am today, and for that I am forever greatful. Thank you to everyone who has takin the time to read this blog. I can't begin to tell you what it means to share this with you.
