Misty Morning


Slowly, deliberately, rising
A mist, a cloud, a fog
Rising from the cold depths
Through the ground of hardened love
Spreading, reaching, cold fingers
Of smoky confusion and gloom
Tickling, teasing, probing
Spreading through my mind, slowly
Dashing any dreams and hope
Shattering my soul into millions
Of pieces of dull broken glass

Alone! On a rock in the darkness
I sit as milky gloom engulfs me
Eyes wide. Lips trembling. Heart beat
Rushing. I stare, I watch, and I wait.
No teardrops, no voice, no soul.
With icy fingers, the fog reaches, grasps
Cold hands upon my throat, choking
I gasp, struggle, I kick and cry
I cannot breathe, I cannot scream,
The sound is loud as magic mist
Begins to speak. Moaning, groaning.
Unbearable, Ba Thump Ba Thump Ba

My heart struggles in my mind
My soul and my life fade to black
All hope is lost in cold lonely cloud
In the distance, a star? A light.
Coming near, closer still, touch me save me.
I am awake now, cold sweaty, alive.



Time

Tick- Tock clock stares menacingly
Reminding, counting, waiting
Hands wave as they go by slowly
Circular, lapping, tainting
Tick-Tock clock stares melancholy
Dreamily I lose my mind
Hours lost beyond my reach
Soon my day becomes my night
Tick- Tock clock becomes heart beat
Just when did things go wrong?
Time waits, I wait, drummers beat
Tell me, where has the time gone?

Tick -Tock clock laughs silently
