Nature's Wonder A howling in fading light

Lonely cry of the loon Brings the darkness of night

The rising of the moon

Silence and solitude

Just the sound of crackling logs

Soft sounds of nature's interlude

Broken only by singing of frogs

Stars come out one by one

Across the sky a carpet make

Creating images of tales spun

Alone I sit still awake

Northern lights in sky dance

Changing with each cascade

Create a moment for romance

Here for a moment only to fade

The stars shine bright in black sky

As I sit staring and I ponder

Searching for a reason why

There's no-one to share Nature's wonder
