I have been a over the road truck driver for 4 years now. What I think about when I drive is about my family at home, the mail I can't recieve, the people driving around me. Safety is first on my list of things to take care of even though I do not get paid for that. I believe truck drivers that drive carelessly or put others on the road/freeway at risk should not be driving a semi. I watch my trailor while I am driving, I am sure you have seen truck drivers that don't and there trailor is all over the road. These people shouldn't be driving a truck either it is just another form of negleting safety. I do not drive while I am too tired, I have been behind other truck drivers that have fallen asleep and drove into a ditch. I take my wife over the road with me, because I am human and get lonely like the rest of you. I know there are alot of other things that go through my mind, and yes when the weather gets bad or traffic is backed up I talk on the CB and see what is going on. I don't like to have my CB on all the time, because there are alot of disrespect and arguing for no reason on it, just like any other business. The first 45 minutes to 1 hour 3o min. is taken up by pretrip; meaning checking over the truck and trailor, mapping my route, and planning on where I will stop to fuel, eat and sleep. As you can see I don't have much time to think about too much more than I just told you. If you have more to add or ask please leave a coment.

I have a laptop now so can be on more often. I will be puting up more pictures more frequently and be able to rate pictures more often.

I have been with the same truck company for a year now. I only get to be on the computer when I am at my father-in-laws, or at my sister house. Which means I don't have a lot of free time on the computer, or much time at home. On the road it is a 24 hr. job, but the pay is ok. I just wish I could meet more like minded people. True friends are hard to find, no matter what a person does though. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Well I only have a short time home, I am working on buying a car, so far I am renting a car on my home time. I miss my friends when I am gone, but one has to earn money, and my job does hold the acconimy in my hands. I wish people would see the meaning in the jobs they do and treat people with respect but these days I no it won't happen. I will be home again close to Christmas time. Well talk to you all later. I try to get to everyones new pictures, I try to get to the blogs, I try to help people get levels. It is not easy when one is a OTR semi truck driver. So I hope you as people understand.

I seen two birds fly toward my semi while I was driving one flew by the passenger window and the second flew right into my driver side window toward my face and broke its neck. A hawk flew between me and another semi, bounced off the trailor of the other semi and into mine, then hit the road behind us and had a broken wing and tryed to walk across the road. A turkey flapped its wings infront of a car and then continued infront of my semi and made it across the road. A baby hawk landed on my semi and stared through my front window when I drove for CR England. I was trying to scrape off stickers off a trailor at this time.

I have seen so much I saw a trucker that fell asleep at the wheel running over a pick up truck going through a guard rail and then running over a small car on the other side of the guard rail. My Driver Manager kept giving me short loads, many times he even gave me a load after a nother one, as if I can drive 24 hours a day. I am only aloud to drive 11 hours in a 14 hr period, this is for my safety and the safty of all others on the road. I took more pictures over the road this time and am looking forward to adding them soon. They had me only driving I5 I guess this is because I live in California and requested to drive only Western 11 states. Go figure. Please feel free to write me and ask anything you want.

I leave for the open road again tomorrow, 5/03/07 I hope they can run me like last month, and hope the stress of road rage, and the hostility of the terrorists don't get to me. I am defenatly going back to the strange highways where crazy people play.
