So last night was my band Low Flyer's first show! We played at The Vent in Fair Oaks, which is a pretty kick-back bar on Madison/Fair Oaks. Oh. And their bartender is a fucking hottie! z0mg. Like, just looking at her would probably be considered cheating, nevermind talking to her lol. So. That's a good reason to come out and check the place out. ;) So we opened the set. Apparently, my wireless unit died in the middle of a song and had to swap cables quickstyle. Other than that, it was a great set, we had a blast! Second up was Bypassing Oblivion, who put up a pretty great set, pretty intense show. Third was Inter*Course from Stockton. Seriously crazy guys, a very weird amalgamation of styles, and worth listening to. Somewhere around halfway through our set, I was bestowed a visit by the lovely, and very silly but cute Christina: OraL GoddezZ

@ fubar She was cold though, and left soon after hanging out a bit after the set, and had to go meet up with friends, but it was good to see her finally. We then got our free pitcher of beer, I hung out for the three bands while the other guys went home (pansies), and general fun was had. So... this is only a quick writeup, but there's not much to write up anyways hehe... More info will be posted on upcoming shows, so be sure to come on out and hang out, listen to some music, and chill with yours truly. :D

So my band's got a show last-minute-like, for this Thursday (yes, that's tomorrow, bitches!) at The Vent (Fair Oaks/Madison ...  GoogleMap it if you don't know).

So, since I'm poor at the moment even though I just got paid, and I don't have an XBox Live Gold account, I activated my free two day trial that came with Crackdown so I could link up my gamertag to my GH3 account online. Also decided to play a few matches through the online system... Apparently, everyone playing online is like, WAY better than I am. I mean, I can throw down on Expert fairly decently, I can keep up, and do fairly well... but... yeah... this is just sad. Serious pwnage is being laid upon me. So. If anyone else feels like pwning me in some GH3 online play, I've got about 46 hours left of my free trial. gamertag is tf5bassist :D

Dragonforce!! :D I love this band, always have, always will! I've got the Valley Of The Damned album here at work, and it's just great stuff through and through. I've got their other early album at home somewhere, and I need the new one that was released after they got signed to Roadrunner, and then everyone knew who they were lol... And lemme tell you... Playing Dragonforce's "Through The Fire And Flames" on Guitar Hero 3 on Expert in practice mode while drunk is severely fun! I say on practice mode because even sober, I fail somewhere around 0% or 1% into the song. yeah. fuck that. But it's fun to play after the intro!! :D
