The Jesus Story

The Jesus Story by: Whyte Bard The Lord and the Lady (and the Fool, of course) looked at the Men and Women, and were not pleased. "Look at that! They saw Your Sacrifice, and went and elaborated it into some kind of magic." The Lady spoke disgustedly. "Cutting out human hearts. Sacrificial Kings. Ritual burnings. Ritual torture. Blood sacrifices. Cannibalism. Blood, killing and more blood! What -do- they think they're doing?" "I agree it's pretty grim," said the Sacred King, "But it does work, though in a very limited way. So....what can we do about it?" "I know what We can do, but it will take all of Us," said the Fool, unsmiling. "Listen up...." As he began to explain, the faces of all Three grew grimmer and grimmer, and sad beyond words. The Fool incarnated as a Child within a Woman, who was the Mother and the Maiden. He was born in poverty, and laid in a straw bed. He grew up in a small village in a backwater nation on the edges of a great Empire. Some, a very few, knew Him and honored Him, seeing Him as the Child, truly the Child of Promise, but most simply went on with their lives, unknowing. When He was of age, He turned, and from Child became Transformer, and He began to teach. As Transformer, He went out on the dusty roads of the small, conquered nation, and taught the Way of Love. Love for -all,- not just some. He taught of the Brotherhood of Man, and of the Fatherhood of the Lord. He taught of the Way of Salvation: to love. To love the Deity, and to love your neighbor, whoever he might be. He brought a message of hope to the poor, and a warning to the oppressor. Around Him, He assembled a small band of men and women, and taught them His Mystery. But one was given a role to play, and the role was Betrayer. A man asked, "Teacher, what shall we do when those that hate us strike us?" And He answered, "Turn the other cheek, and let them strike you again. Give them love in return for hate. If you must take up the sword, then do it in great reluctance, and only after you have stepped aside time and time again. Remember that I bring you not peace, but a sword, for this Path will separate you from your families and friends, and your enemies will persecute you in their ignorance." "And forgive your enemies, and those who wrong you, that you may put away your anger and live in love." Another asked, "Sensei, what of the poor?" And He answered, "The poor you shall always have with you, but give them the tools to lift themselves out of their poverty. Clothe and feed them, but give them the means of independence also." "But what of the rich, then?" said a wealthy man. "Give what you have to the poor. give them of clothing, and food, and, more importantly, of learning, for if you feed a man, then you have only given him one meal, but if you teach him to feed himself, then he may eat for a lifetime, and move from the cycle of poverty and ignorance," He said. "Lay not treasures up for yourself on earth, save that you give of that treasure to those in need, but rather lay up treasure in heaven, for it would be easier for a camel to pass thru a needle's eye than for an avaricious man to leave his earthly treasure for heaven." A Doctor asked Him, "Healer, what of the sick?" "Verily, let them be healed by the knowledge of man, and by prayer," He answered, "For whatsoever you ask in prayer, if you have faith even as small as the tiniest grain of mustard seed, what you need will be granted you. But be wary of what you ask for, for you will get what you need, and not always what you want." A woman asked, "Rabbi, what of those that follow other Teachers?" And He answered, smiling, "There are many rooms in your Father's house, and many fields in Heaven. And I come again, and yet again, and as there are many languages of mankind, so are there many Names for Deity. Rejoice in it, and be glad of the diversity of Deity, and do not hate those that call the Deity by other names, but rather weigh them by their deeds." And one asked of Him, "How should we pray?" And He answered, saying, "Pray in your own fashion, as you will, for all prayer is good. But if you wish, pray thusly:" "Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our errors, as we forgive the errors of others. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." "And if you feel this prayer should be given to the Mother, then let it be so." And a Priest shouted, angrily, "Shall God be then female?" And He answered, "The Deity is what It will be, not what you make It into. You see the Deity in your own image; if you are vengeful, then your God is vengeful. If you are full of hate, then your God is hateful. But if you have love, then you shall know the Deity's love. Listen, and be wise." A child asked, "Father, how shall we know what is right, and what is wrong?" And He replied, "Weigh it by its fruits. If it gives a bad fruit, then it is wrong, but if the fruit is good, then eat of it and be happy." "But Brother, what of a fruit that seems to be good, yet will poison us slowly?" asked another. And He answered, "If a man die of it, then it is an evil fruit. Look you to the past, see the mistakes therein, and learn there from. And beware those who would lead you into error thru their own need of power over you; leave them to the trap of their own making." One of the Priests came to Him, a man enmeshed in legalism, and, thinking to trap Him said, "Teacher, What is the Law?" And He looked at the Priest and said, "Love God. Love thy neighbor. All else is commentary, and the Law of Man. Study the holy books of all faiths, weigh the good and the bad in each, and learn." And the Priest went away abashed. And a person came to Him and said, "What of magic?" "Know that your will is that of a human, and you are not omniscient. You cannot see all the results of your actions. Therefore ask 'Not my will, but Thine be done' and leave the ordering of the MultiVerse to Deity, not to human will," He replied. "Order yourself, not the MultiVerse." And two came to Him, and asked, "O Mahatma, We are of the same sex, and love each other. What shall we do?" And He looked upon them, and said, "An it harm none, do as you will. You are all the Children of the Deity, and the Deities' Love for you is greater than you can imagine." A policeman asked of Him, "But what of the Laws of Man? If these Laws of Man conflict with the Law of the Deity, what shall we do then, Padre?" And Transformer answered, "Listen and hear. Obey the Laws of Man, for these Laws have power over your body. But if there is a man-made law that is not good, then strive to change it, in peace. But if you cannot change it, then obey it. And, if you must disobey it to change it, then accept the judgments of Man's Law in good grace until it is changed. But put not your trust in Rulers, and Kings and Princes, nor in those that would lead you, be they Priest, Priestess, or any 45 other Office and Position, but weigh their words carefully, that their words match their deeds, and no hypocrisy enters into them, for as your leaders you have given them power over you. And always remember that Man's Law is made for humanity, and not humanity for Man's Law." And with the policeman was a woman, who had violated the Law of Man, and had been taken for her crime. She said, "But what of me, Lord? I am to be stoned by the crowd." And He picked up a stone from the ground, looked at her, and said, simply, "Let he who is without mistakes cast the first stone at you." And He dropped His stone from His hand. And there was a silence from the crowd, and those with stones in their hands dropped them guiltily to the ground. And He said to her, "Learn from your error, go in peace, and make error no more." And he said to those that had dropped their stones, and who were burdened by their guilt, "Be not guilty, for guilt is but a warning from your conscience. Be you delivered from your hell. Learn from your error, put it from you, and err no more." "And equally, if the tree that gives a bad fruit can be taught to give a good fruit, then do so. But if it persists in giving bad fruits, then leave it." And He walked to a nearby hill, and turned to the people, and spoke thusly: "Blessed be those who are poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." "Blessed be those that mourn, for they shall be comforted." "Blessed be the meek, for they shall live to inherit the earth, long after the strong, and the proud, and the warlike have killed each other in their pride." "Blessed be those that hunger and thirst after the Truth, for they shall know it." "Blessed be the merciful, for they shall have mercy shown unto them." "Blessed be the pure in heart, for they shall see the Deity all the days of their lives and after." "Blessed be those that make peace among men, for they shall be called the Children of the Deity." "Blessed be those that are persecuted for the sake of the Truth, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Blessed be you, when men shall persecute you, and perjure themselves against you, and lie about you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for your reward is great indeed." "Let your Light so shine before all humanity, that they may know the Truth of you, and learn to live in love." And he placed His hand upon the head of a dog, and said, "Your Brothers and Sisters in fur are your Brothers and Sisters in truth. They are in your care, and in your hands. Treat them with kindness, and that kindness will be returned to you a thousand fold. To those that give themselves to be eaten by you offer thanks, and be grateful to them for your sustenance." "Treat your Mother the earth likewise with kindness, and all the growing things thereon will sing your praises to the Highest, and you shall eat and drink of Her fruits, and live in joy and gladness all the days of your lives. Little children, love one another!" In truth, there was much more that He taught, and much of it is written for our study and learning, and the study of His teachings are a good and worthy thing. But the following of His teachings is a better thing, for He was who He said He was, and that is also a Great Mystery. And the Betrayer spoke to Him, and said, "Renounce this Path. It only leads to destruction. Give over to me, and I will give you ruler ship of all the kingdoms of Earth." And He gazed upon the Betrayer, and spoke, and said, "Get thee hence, foolish one, for I have no need of earthly treasure, nor earthly power, for all such is false, and an illusion." And on the night that He was betrayed, during a Festival that celebrated the conquered people's deliverance from tyranny, (and to choose such a time and place is also a Great Mystery and a great lesson) He took of the Sacred King, the Bread of Life, blessed and broke it, and gave it to His followers, and said, "This is My body. Do this in remembrance of Me." And then he took wine, fruit of the Mother, and blessed it, and gave it to them also, and said, "This is My blood. Do this in remembrance of Me." And Transformer was betrayed by the Betrayer, betrayed to the legalists and the soldiers of the occupying army, accused of sedition and taken by the Law of Man, and sentenced to die. And they fastened Him to an instrument of torture, to kill Him like a common criminal, with cruel jokes. And He was hung from a Tree. And, watching was the Mother, and the Maiden, and the Crone, and They all three mourned Him. He turned, and was the Sacred King, and simultaneously the Fool (and that is a Great Mystery indeed) and, as He died, he said, "It is finished." And His Blood ran out upon the Earth, and worked a great magic. His body was buried in a tomb of rock, and the soldiers of the occupying army guarded it. But after three days and three nights, a greater magic was done, and He took His body again, sitting with the Lord and the Lady, and showed Himself to His followers, to show them that Death is not to be feared. And He said, "You have been bought, and redeemed, and nevermore shall you make sacrifice of blood, for this is the Final Sacrifice for all time, for all places, and for all those there are and were, and will be." "And fear not Death, for it but a change in a MultiVerse of changes; another turning of the wheel on a road all must travel." And He shall come again, as He has throughout all history, teaching the Great Truth: that we shall love the Deity, and love our neighbor, for Love is the heart of the Law, and that Law is Love. For He is always with us and in us all. "I don't -ever- want to go through that again!" The Fool spoke vehemently, thru tears. "I don't think you'll have to go quite -that- far the next time," said the Lady. "They'll still play their stupid games with blood, but not for very much longer." "I hope not," said the Sacred King, "But do We have to put up with that Paul fellow? He's a bit of a nut-case." "If you want it to work out right, yes," said the Lady. "He may be a nut-case, but he'll spread the Word quickly, and, after a time, they'll get the idea. And from that will come the seed of My future believers." "Sorry about that," said the Fool. "I did my best, but in such a patriarchal society as that one was, I just couldn't make much headway about You." "No problem," She said. "They can deny Me all they want to, but I'm still here." Thus it was, and so it is, and evermore shall be so!

The Mother

I wrote this when I lost my daughter on October 13th 1984 Through all my pain I could not see, Why she took my child from me, "My Lady" I cried in the night, What can I do to make this right, On my pillows tears soaked through, Heartache in my soul untrue, And then I felt her arms round me, Her voice a lilting melody, Your child is safe within my breast, She does not sleep, she does not rest, A gay small child with hair of white, She dances all the day and night, A light she brings unto these lands, So fair of face, such grace of hand, I never meant to cause you pain, One day you'll see her face again, When she comes back, to guide your path, To me she'll bring you with a laugh, So happy all the day she is, Certain in the love you give, Let me wipe your tears away, Be your Mother and your stay, I will never leave your side, When you need me child just cry, Call my name and I will come, All your life I'll be the one. Remembered in love and light my lil one Aileen Elizabeth... 6/25/84 - 10/13/84

Pagan Questionnaire

Pagan Questionnaire: 1. How long have you been on your path? Since inception. 2. What where you seeking when you started your path and what are you seeking now? Truth, integrity, balance and humble human existence. 3. What powers are natural/strong points for you? I am a natural healer, an empath, as well as communal with nature (plant, animal, vegetable and mineral). Not being limited, am also a voyager amongst that which lies within the veiled world, (can see, hear, smell, and sense what is not apparent) along with a plethora of “unusual energy occurrences” by those not willing or able to understand and/or pay attention to. 4. Powers...What do you find hard to do/ doesn’t come easy or can't do at all? Hmmmm…. Not much that I have tried and not been successful in attaining once I set my mind to it. 5. What fascinates you the most with spirituality? Knowing that I am just a small, but integral part of a “whole” – the cycle and gift of life. 6. What scares you the most about spirituality? Ignorance and judgment. 7. What do you think is B.S. and not possible? World peace – at least until the human race realizes that we are all created equal. 8. Do you feel that all religions are one? This may sum up my hopes and dreams "All Gods are one God" however reality on the other hand… 9. Do you believe we ever stop reincarnating? In a spiritual sense, yes, when one attains true nirvana through previous life paths lessons learned. On a physical aspect, unless we become so chemically altered, we still give back to the Great Mother what our chemical composition is entirely made up of. (I know – betwixt and at a crux on this one, being a scientific and analytical maniac). 10. Christian theory or not/ do you believe there is a hell of some sort? Heaven, Hell, and any other name in between… is still the theory of good and evil, when if one just uses the K.I.S.S. method (keep it simple sweetie) is just as dependant on an individuals attitude of what is right and wrong. Each is simply just what we make of it. Nature has its own set of “biorhythms” of ups and downs which only makes this one rejoice and enjoy every moment of what is precious – life itself. 11. Do you believe there are demons or angels? Do you relate them to the elementals/are they separate or do you not believe in them at all? Ahhhh, something that I can actually relate to dealing with on both sides. They do exist and I have encountered those searching for help as well as those “guardians” that have kept watch over me. There are some that I knew, but more that “knew me”. Relating back to that “veil between the worlds” 12. How do you feel about ghosts? Do you think its okay that a soul might be stuck/not reincarnating? Ghosts as most assimilate them are but lost wanderers in need of us that can “guide” them to where they need to be. 13. Do you do full rituals every holiday? Unfortunately, due to time, family and daily life constraints, full rituals have been curtailed to what can actually be done to honor and celebrate the holiday. Some more than others, but tis always a daily routine to keep one’s balance of spirituality and existence. 14. Do you meditate daily? Do you feel it’s important to do so? Absolutely and yes, definitely. Grounding is essential and through meditation, as well as yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Quong etc… the variety and elation of being centered is essential to this one’s well being, on a mental, physical and metaphysical aspect. 15. What sign are you? Sagittarius (use to be “Do Not Open”) 16. Do you keep up on your astrology? Believing in it? Using it daily? To a certain extent, yes, but have found more relevance personally through numerology and astronomy. I do not let things dictate to me one path when I know that there are many leading to their same destiny. 17. What elemental fascinates you the most? To pick just one would be unjust as they are all of equal importance and fascination to this one. 18. Do you have a totem animal? There is not one creature that this one does not consider a totem, as they are all gifts of the Mother. I still do find peace and solace the most when I am in the presence of any water mammal (whale, dolphin, manatee etc…) as well as the fantasy of unicorns and winged horses. 19. When are you most at peace? When in the kitchen cooking something! A bit of a kitchen witch for as song as I can remember in my mother’s and grandmother’s kitchens, learning about natural herbs, spices, old fashioned “remedies” as well as family secrets passed down through the ages of Norse, Celtic and Italian ancestors. 20. Where you raised in a Christian family then left? Raised Lutheran and Roman Catholic since 5, but never quite fit in and asked too many questions that could not be answered by any. Used the library as a refuge to question, learn and define own path to discover and manifest natural abilities. Was always looked upon as “strange” considering wide influences not particularly of one path, but a collage of many incorporated into own route. 21. What’s the worst spell you ever cast? Not particularly one of my fortes (spell casting) and only use with caution and wisdom. Have not had any to actually consider “worst”. 22. Is there a God or Goddess you tried to be close with but it just didn't work out? Tell us... This one is more or less bound by heart, body and soul to the Great Mother in all her glory. Gaia aka Mother Earth is my sustenance and provider, as well as care taker and care giver. As she firmly believes that All Gods are One God/dess – thus she encompasses All without prejudice or judgment - just love. 23. Pick one and tell us why... ocean/ forest/desert/ fields-prairie/ mountains... Definitely ocean – water in any form is the very basic essence for life. All life began with the chemical reaction of water, and regardless of how little or how much is irrelevant – as it is a foundation for all.

OMG! (a funny)

Four Catholic ladies were having coffee. The first Catholic woman tells her friends "My son is a priest. When he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father.'" The second Catholic woman chirps, "My son is a bishop. Whenever he walks into a room, people call him 'Your Grace.'" The third Catholic crone says "My son is a cardinal. Whenever he walks into a room, people say 'Your Eminence.'" Since the fourth Catholic woman sips her coffee in silence, the first three women give her this subtle "Well...?" Finally she replies, "My son is a gorgeous, sexy, antler wearing, body-building pagan. When he walks into a room, women say, 'Oh my God.'"

Messengers Of Light

Rainbows The ancient Greeks believed that the goddess Iris used rainbows to travel from the heavens to earth, gliding down the colorful slide to deliver messages from the gods to humans. Looking at a rainbow, it is easy to see how it came to be seen as a mode for divine communication. When one appears, we stop what we're doing and stare in amazement. Something magical has penetrated our everyday world and blessed us with it's beauty. Every culture has witnessed the rainbow and attempted to make sense of it in its own way. In recent years, it has been interpreted as a message of racial unity-a symbol representing the potential for the harmonious coming together of all the various tribes of the earth. In Tibetan Buddhism, when a great yogi or yogini passes on, rainbows appear at the time of passing. This is referred to as the attainment of the rainbow body. What it means is that the soul in question purified itself so completely as to be free of darkness at the time of death. These philosophies challenge the perception that the universe is necessarily dualistic, that war and peace, darkness and light, are two sides of one coin. According to these interpretations, harmony and pure light are ultimately capable of absorbing and healing conflict and negativity, the rainbow acting as a symbol of a higher realm of consciousness in which these aspects cease to exist. This transformation is achieved, not through repressing negativity, but through bathing it in the light and allowing the power of the light to absorb it. In this way, the rainbow is indeed a cosmic messenger reminding us of the power of our individual and collective higher consciousness, through which we have the power to heal our world and ourselves.

Pet Medicine

Animals As Healers All pet owners have had, at one time or another, an experience in which their pet, whether golden retriever, kitten, horse, or iguana, recognized their suffering and offered comfort. Animals, both wild and domesticated, have the ability to sense changes in the body and mind and can positively influence humans in many ways. They can inspire playful thoughts in those discouraged and remind us of the need to nurture both ourselves and others. They can even affect profound physical changes in humans, by lowering our blood pressure and reducing stress. The gentle purring of a cat or a friendly nuzzle from a warm lizard can be a form of healing, and all animals, even those in the wild, are natural healers. A house pet can tell you many things, if you observe. Your pet will choose to sleep in the places in your home that have the best energy and, when you're ill, may concentrate its attention on the area of your body that needs healing. Stroking soft fur, a smooth, scaly back, or downy feathers can enhance memory, shorten recovery time after an injury, help curb depression, open lines of communication, and even increase a person's chance of survival after a heart attack. For many years, schools, nursing homes, and even prisons have let their charges visit with specially trained animals periodically because a visit with a pet both calms and cheers people. With the elderly, the love of an animal can heighten cognitive ability, movement, and quality of life. Wild animals, too, have their own healing powers. The antics of a silly squirrel can lift the spirits while the industrious ant is an inspiration. A chance encounter with a dolphin or manatee can be life changing. In mythology, the centaur was the keeper of the art of healing and the Egyptian god Anubis was the healer of the gods. It is not surprising that so many people keep pets or enjoy watching animals in nature. Animals transform us and their unique and beautiful modes of healing are as natural as they are.

Embracing The Goddess

Goddess Movement Thousands of years ago, before the dawn of written history, feminine energy was an important part of people's lives. Clans venerated wise mother goddesses, dark destroyer goddesses, and cyclical fertility goddesses, of which women were the natural embodiment. But as politics evolved, these goddesses were forgotten or relegated to positions as wives or concubines, and their energy was lost to time. But, as some people are discovering, contemporary people need the guidance of the goddess more than ever. The goddess movement seeks to recapture that energy and to bring civilization back into touch with its history of feminine power. Members of the goddess movement believe that goddess energy emanates from many aspects, which exist both as all-inclusive deities as well as individual goddesses such as Isis, Inanna, Demeter, and Kali. Throughout history, the goddess has taken on the role of mother, virgin, warrior, creator, destroyer, hunter, artist, lover, witch, and healer. Goddess spirituality is diverse, incorporating both the loving and the terrible, the dark and the light, the maiden and the crone. It is because of this that it can be conservative or radical, feminist, celebratory, or simply the recognition for nature's purity. The common factor, however, is the balance sought by the goddess movement. The goddess is an emblem of wisdom, creativity, and individual evolution. Her divine nurturing energy is alive, ever-changing, and the perfect counterpoint to the energy of the divine male. With it, we satisfy the need for strong female role models and expressions of female prowess to help us tap into our own feminine energy. Embracing the goddess can take many forms, from building a personal meditation space or alter to the goddess, to participating in goddess festivals and group rituals, yet all are valid. It is never too late to begin a new tradition. Many cultures throughout the world continue to honor the goddess. Buddhism, Hinduism, Native American traditions, and African religions each pay homage to the divine feminine. But each seeker in the goddess movement is encouraged to find their own personal goddess, and to recapture the potent energy embodied by feminine spirituality in order to experience first hand a greater personal fulfillment and to discover the goddess within.

Let Me Walk In Beauty

Native American Prayer Oh, Great Spirit Whose voice I hear in the winds and whose breath gives life to all the world. Hear me. I am a man before you, one of your many children - I am small and weak. I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made, my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise, so that I may know the things you have taught my people - the lesson you have hidden in every leaf and rock. I seek strength not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able to fight my greatest enemy - myself. Make me ever ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so when life fades as a fading sunset my spirit may come to you without shame. - Native American Prayer Translated by Chief Yellow Lark in 1887 Native American Missionary and Medicine Man Lakota Tribe

My Truth

I aspire not to an enlightened afterlife, Or to ascend to be one with God, Nor to live in Paradise with Allah. No. I wish to live life contented, At one with the earth and kin to the animals, To impart my knowledge and experience to younger minds, And to walk my path in peace and with fulfillment, Then to die: My body, the earth; My mind, the earth. My spirit, the earth; Let my remnants nourish it, to nourish others, So they may live and die so others may live... ... and the Wheel turns evermore... Yep! Here is my truth. Why am I on this Earth? No big reason, no huge purpose... just my truth!

AURAS

An aura is an emanation said to surround humans, (& animals). Chiefly encircling the head, and supposed to proceed from the nervous system. It is described as a cloud of light suffused with various different colors; this is seen clairvoyantly, being imperceptible to the physical sight. Some of the elements composing the aura are projected from the body, others from the astral principles. ETHERIC AURA The etheric aura extends about 2 inches out from the physical body & is usually a shade of blue in color. The shade of blue relates to the physical condition & health of the physical body. Athletes have strong etheric auras of a deeper blue in shade. In the etheric aura, you feel all the sensations, both pain and pleasure. KETHERIC AURA The ketheric aura extends about 36 - 48 inches from the physical body & appears as an extremely bright golden light that is rapidly pulsating, this aura takes on the shape of an egg, surrounding & protecting everything within it. CELESTIAL AURA The celestial aura extends about 24 inches from the physical body & appears as a bright shimmering light of pastel colors. This is the level of feelings within the world of our spirit, here we communicate with all beings of the spiritual world. EMOTIONAL AURA The emotional aura extends about 2 - 4 inches from the physical body & appears as rainbow colored clouds. This aura is associated with feelings. Positive feelings create brighter colors, negative feelings create darker colors. ASTRAL AURA The astral aura extends about 8 - 12 inches from the physical body & appears as brightly colored rainbow clouds. The astral aura is the bridge between the physical & spiritual worlds. MENTAL AURA The mental aura extends about 4 - 8 inches from the physical body & is usually a bright shade of yellow in color. Within this aura are our thoughts & mental processes, the more active our thoughts the brighter our mental aura becomes. FEELING THE AURA One theory on being able to feel your aura is: - draw a circle on your left hand using your right fingertip, don't let your finger touch your hand, keep it at a distance of about 1/2 an inch, move slowly and you should be able to feel the power of your aura. How to read the Aura Auras can be seen physically, or sensed psychically. One way to see someone's aura is to have the subject stand in front of a white background. If you look at the person for a while you’ll see some sort of wavy lines of energies, and also maybe a couple of aura colors. “Stand in front of a mirror at a distance of about half a meter, with a wall of neutral color some distance behind you. Alternatively, get a friend to stand about 1 meter away from you and 2 meters from a neutral wall. Relax, and breathe deeply and evenly. Focus your eyes on the wall behind the head. Gently sway your body from side to side (or tell your friend to if looking at someone else). As you stare past the outline of the head, you should be able to see an envelope of light - it's an aura! The room and subject should be illuminated by subdued lighting, but not in darkness or direct sunlight. Do not worry if you cannot see color at this stage, in time you may.” The auric colors cannot be adequately described in terms of the ordinary colors seen in the physical vision, but they are roughly described as follows: ROSE ~ pure affection BRILLIANT RED ~ anger & force DIRTY RED ~ passion & sensuality YELLOW (of the purest lemon) ~ the highest type of intellectual activity ORANGE ~ intellect used for selfish ends, pride and ambition BROWN ~ avarice GREEN ~ variable significances, its root meaning is the placing of ones self in the position of another, in its lowest aspect it represents deceit and jealousy, higher up in the emotional gamut, it signifies adaptability BLUE ~ indicates religious feeling and devotion PURPLE ~ represents psychic faculty, spirituality power rising from knowledge and occult pre-eminence.
