LOVE AT ANY COST
I’ve been accused of mis ing marbles,
mumbled words and speechthatgarbles;
syncopating facts and such,
decorating lines too much,
rhyming all I see,
.
IRRELEVANTLY

FEELING
.
LOVE.
Yes,
some folks say I’ve loosened screws,
while others swear they’re lost,
To which I simply shrug and say:
“Love at any cost!”
But …
I DON’T play marbles anymore,
and now and then I “snug” a screw;
maybe all they say is true (of me)
perhaps I have a faulty view (of we).
maybe there’s only Sex and Money (I see),
and all my dreams of Milk and Honey (to be),
are funny wrinkles in a pickled mind
of a greatly shortened Frankenstein!

To Fools who see a fool in me,
and moan of Paradise Lost,
metaphoric’ly I say,
“LOVE AT ANY COST”!
