Different Christmas Poem

Different Christmas Poem The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight. A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. "What are you doing?" I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!" For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts. To the window that danced with a warm fire's light Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right, I'm out here by choice, I'm here every night." "It's my duty to stand at the front of the line, That separates you from the darkest of times. No one had to ask or beg or implore me, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. My Gramps died at 'Pearl' on a day in December," Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram' always remembers." "My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam', And now it is my turn and so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while, But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile." Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag. "I can live through the cold and the being alone, Away from my family, my house and my home". "I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother." "Who stand at the front against any and all, To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall." "So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright, Your family is waiting and I'll be all right." "But isn't there something I can do, at the least, Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?" "It seems all too little for all that you've done, For being away from your wife and your son." Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret, "Just tell us you love us, and never forget. To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own watch, no matter how long." "For when we come home, either standing or dead, To know you remember we fought and we bled. Is payment enough, and with that we will trust, That we mattered to you as you mattered to us." PLEASE, would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S. service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let us try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. For as long as I can remember, I have loved photos of any type. I'm looking at getting into taking some photos of my own, but I need some models to aide me. I'm looking for local ladies that want to have or have thought about having photos taken of them. I'm not looking at anything odd or weird, at least I don't think so, and it would be nothing that you were not comfortable with. So if you're interested, then send me a note or something. One pose at a time, Chris

Tux

So this weekend my brother is getting married for the second time and I am the best man. So I'm taking him out Thursday night for a bachelors party and his wedding is on Saturday. So I have to put on a monkey suit. I really do not like wearing them, but I do have to admit I look good in one, hahaha. When I get some of the pics I'll post a few of them here. I also have some dreads for this weekend too. I have yet to be married and I know my parents are going to be hassling me about it, hahaha. But I understand why they do it, they want me to be happy. I just have not met the right woman at this point and time. Chris

Hump Day?

So what day is hump day? I've been getting messages on different days of the week for hump day. I would happily say that hump day is everyday, oh what a glorious time that would be, hahaha. Chris

To my Friends

I have been slacking off here lately. I've not been sending out comments, chatting, or messaging anyone lately. Sorry, I promise I'm going to start back again very soon. Talk to you all later. Chris H.

Do your dreams come true?

Mine do. Deja Vu, it happens to all of us, at least I like to believe it does. I will lay down and go into a deep sleep and dream of something happening and a few days later, the event occurs. However, I do not realize that I am seeing the event for a second time until I see or hear something that triggers the relapse. I have it happen to me at least once a month. Has anything like this ever happened to you? I know it's a little freaky, but hey the memories come back so vividly for me, it's like doing a double take on something. I also dream of falling and never waking up, smacking the ground in my dream then feeling myself getting dropped onto the bed. I know your not suppose to be able to do this but it happens to me. Tell me your stories.

Piercings

I have decided that I want a few more piercings and I want to redo some that I have had in the past. I'm going to repierce my nipples, I just hope that this time I can keep some of the women from pulling and playing with them when they find out I've got them, that is until they have completely healed. That was my problem with the last nipples piercings I had. I already have 2 piercings in each lobe and thinking about one more in each ear through the cartilage. The last one I'm looking at is a Prince Albert, if you know what that is then I give you credit on knowing your piercings. Most people just giggle about that one and they are not sure what it really is. I've been thinking about this one for a while now. Just have not completely decided about it. I love both piercings and tattoos and if you've got them and we talk then that's a plus for you. Now I just need to take the time to go into Body Staind and have them done. While I'm there I may have a couple of tats done too. I won't call it an obsession or a fetish, but I will call it a release when I have a piercing done. Tell me what you think. Or are you hiding something underneath your clothes that you do not want others to see? Later
