I got back from lunch a couple minutes ago... always end up having late lunches but this one turned into a meeting. I was looking out my window and noticed how the sun is shining, and the shadows are so different. I mentioned while we were walking back from lunch how hot the sun felt, but it is still that 'not summer' sun. The shadows look lower, colder... the sun doesn't have that bright-eyed, bushy-tailed way about it anymore. That means it's too close to autumn for comfort. I like the fall for the pretty colors and harvest time and Halloween but ugh... it gets cold and wet and rainy. I can't like that. And the sun, the sun goes away... it gets to shine brighter somewhere else, on someone else. I get that overcast where the hell is the sun sun in the fall. I miss it - it does a body good. Now once it's gone I have to wait another 6 months, 7 maybe, for the good 'hot summer' sun to return. Damn.
