KatatonickKat's blog: "No REAL Profile Pic? You wanna be friends?"

Let me first say that I hate to have my picture taken. I just don't like the way they turn out most of the time. Yet I have nothing to hide. Therefore I do have pictures on this site. How many times have you looked at someone's profile only to find a graphics in place of profile pictures? There are no REAL pictures? And you wanna be friends? How about someone who has people pictures, but they don't look like they are "REAL"? How about the ones that are taken so far away that you can't tell if it is really them? I am starting to reconsider the way I accept and choose friends online. I have seen a few pictures that are real people, but have drawn on beards or mustaches. I kid you not. What do you think? Is it wrong to deny online friendship because they have no picture or salute? Fubar has the right idea with the salute pictures! I imagine that the bouncers look at the salute and some of the other pictures on the profile to see if it looks like the person there. So are you hiding, or are you hiding something?
