OMG things are busy!! My grandbaby is growing like a weed! She is now 4 weeks old. She had her bi-weekly appt yesterday and she is now at 8 lb 1 oz. They're happy now with her weight since she was 3 weeks early at 5lb 13oz so she now only has to go once a month for a few months. And of course she's the light of my life! I initally took the whole thing pretty badly but I can honestly say once I saw her, all of that just went away. My daughter is doing a great job with her but at the same time she now realizes that it wasn't nearly as easy as she thought it was going to be. I told her that from day one but what do I know. LOL. I decided I needed to get a 2nd job. That was pretty tough to find because of my hours at my full time job but I finally found it and I LOVE the job! I would have been content just running a register somewhere for $7.50 an hour but this turned out WAY better! I'm working for an airline that handles freight, primarily for hospitals, major medical centers, etc. I will be scheduling the flight which means finding the right flight that meets their requirements as far as date, time, etc, then I dispatch them and confirm when they've arrived at their destination. It could be for something like transporting mice for testing or getting an organ from a hospital on the east coast to one on the west coast for transplant. Needless to say time is of the essence but its SO exciting. I'm really hoping it turns into a full time job that will replace the full time job from hell I have now. I'm still trying to find a new full time job. I need to get out from under the job I have now. There's b.s. anywhere you work but its over the top where I work and its taken its toll. I've totally had ENOUGH so hopefully I'll find something SOON. Between both jobs and helping with the baby, I don't have much time for a life cus I'm literally working 7 days a week. But I have to right now to get above water. Hopefully I won't have to for long but the stress of everything is more than I can handle. So....if I'm not around as often as I have been or if I don't respond right away to messages or comments, its only because I'm going non-stop at work. And in what spare time I have, I'd rather spend it with my grandbaby - no offense to anyone! LOL! Take care everyone...til next time! {{{HUGS}}}

We went to the hospital at noon today and baby Cassidy was born at 7:51pm this evening! She weighed 5 lbs 13 oz and weighed 18" long! She's a little peanut but healthy and beautiful!! Jeremy is staying at the hospital so I could come home & ake care of the critters. Both mom & baby are doing great! We JUST found out that Caiti has the same blood clotting syndrome I have, so they may keep her longer cus she has to give herself shots for 6 weeks to prevent any blood clots so they have to teach her how to give them to herself. Anyway, I have pics posted, go take a look at my new grandbaby!! herself shots - unless I do it cus already have to give shots to myself. Other than that, mom, baby & dad are all doing great! I have pictures posted so go check'em out!!

The baby watch for my first grandbaby is officially on! My daughter had an appt this morning and she's started dilating 1-2 cm! She still has a month to go but between that & the contractions she may or may not go until 5/19! I had to battle FMLA since she's a minor (she's 17...trust me I've heard all the comments & my initial reaction was not something to be proud of so I don't need to hear it all again). Anyway I went up to battle and I WON against the bureaucratic bastards! I'm legally allowed to the time off since she's a minor but they tried to deny it. Good thing I read up on it. Just as I was filing a formal complaint they responded with an approval. They have to cover me for EVERYTHING including 6 weeks off when she has the baby! HEH HEH. I can't afford to take 6 weeks off but I will take at least 3. I have a follow up drs appt for myself this afternoon. I was taken off work Monday when I landed in the hospital with several blood clots in my leg - Talk about scared!! I hope they let me go back to work Monday but its hard to tell just yet since they aren't completely dissolved. I'm using this time off to deal with all the baby stuff & look for a different job. I have the job from hell but that's a book all by itself and probably partly to blame for this latest blood clot episode. I just need to get back to work & get caught up before the baby gets here. Ok, I'm SICK of all this weather!! Is it Spring yet?? Ok that's out of my system. LOL. I don't really sign on very often, no reason really but I should so I can get the hang of this site. And I'm not a rate whore. Not that I don't appreciate it, but it's not all I'm after. I want to make friends and perhaps meet someone local. Not much going on from a social standpoint. I need to go out more often. Either the singles scene has changed or I have. Oh well. It's just been a really busy few months between work which is insane busy, and my daughters medical issues on top of a high risk pregnancy. She is only 17 so the news itself was not something I handled well. I initially blew my stack because she's always been a good kid. She just happen to make a first mistake that's definitely a doozie. I'm coming around though, I'm certainly not going to disown her when she needs support more than ever. She landed in the hospital last June in kidney failure from EColi of all things. We never did find the source but she's had tons of kidney problems ever since and continues to fight repeat infections & other problems. So the timing of a pregnancy really complicates things. She just got out of the hospital again last week. On top of a kidney stone there are other potential problems that may result in pre-term labor. I'm really worried. The ultrasounds though look good and we know for a fact that she is having a girl. YAY!!!!! Her name is going to be Cassidy Lynn. I'm becoming more anxious to be a spoiling Nana. That and work have pretty much been my world although I really need to get a life. LOL. I'm just not one for hanging out in bars to meet people. Besides I dont want to meet someone and wonder if I'm talking to a person or a buzz. Enough babbling...I hope everyone is doing well & having a good weekend.
