The United Nations has voted and approved a new law that makes it taboo to say anything that would offend the Islamic religion (or any other religion). Doing so would be viewed as a "human rights" violation from now on according to the U.N. membership nations that took part in that vote.
The government of the USA has issued memos to a number of departments to change how things are worded in order to frame what is now viewed as "politically correct" terminology.
Some people feel these new actions are a direct threat to the freedom of speech our Consitution has insured us.
Should "freedom of speech" be regulated by the government or the United Nations? |
