I got a new dog, it is a Malti-poo mix. She is adorable or will be when her hair is grown out. I still can't believe someone would throw her out on a highway. She is house-trained and about 2 years old. A police officer rescued her and gave her to a friend who is a another police officers wife. She gave her to me, because she knew her husband would not let her keep the dog. Like a sucker for dogs, I took her. A co-worker at the jail kept asking me about the dog. She said she was scammed out of $200 to get a dog sent to her. I agreed to give her the dog, but so far she has not showed me that she really wants it. First day, she did not call me until very later. The next day it was pouring down and would have been a bad day to be on the road with the dog. The she told me someone said those types of dogs bite children. Then it was her phone service was down and she would give me her home phone number, which she never did. I am now on my 2 days off and now I am attached to the dog. She has started her little sighing and doggie talk to me. The next time the co-worker asks I will just have to tell her that I am attached to the dog and can't give her away. I rather the dog have a stable home then one with someone so undecisive. The only thing left is to find the female dog a name she will come to, so far I have been calling her Baby Girl! I will have to post a photo of her.
