I look over my life and see the things I've done
I look at the contests I've never won
I see the things that went wrong
I see the words never put into a song
I see the days fade into night
I see the flickering of the light
I changed the things I could and endured the rest
My life now is going to be the best
Working on the future and blocking out the past
Know each day on earth may be my very last
I'll live for today and look ahead with glee
I thank god I realized I live a life of the free
I will remember the past and use it to learn
I will work hard and the things I have I will earn
No more living in sorrow I will never be down again.
