How do you handle the death of a schoolmate of your children.
I know the mummers are very vocal and I am needing serious advice here.
My son had a Classmate that has been missing since Christmas morning. They discovered his body today under a bridge within 3 blocks of our house. How do I go about talking to my kid about this. My son called me and told me about this as he was with his dad today and I wasnt home all day so I didnt notice the activity. They (the friends) were notified today as they had also held a search for him today in the area he lived.
I know mumms are often used just for point whores, I assure you this isnt the case here. I am providing a link to any that are intrested.

Death is confusing enough to kids but when its a classmate and the causes are suspected as suicide. I talk to my kid and we have a close relationship but I am at a loss here. I cry for all of those involved.
So to make this a mumm, should I offer to talk to my kid about it when he is ready
OR
Do I sit him down and talk to him weather he wants to talk or not.
