| Just wondering what I should do. I'm seperated and going through a divorce. My ex left last year and I just did my taxes yesterday. With him leaving I was able to file Head of Household but he has to file married filing seperate because our divorce will not be final until July. He hasn't contributed much to his part financially for parenting. We actually have an emergency child support hearting next week. Not to get into a long MUMM here. But my bills are so behind because of the financial stability he removed from the family. I am getting enough back to catch up on my bills and have some in savings for emergencies (like if he continues not to help out). However with him having to file married filing seperate he has to pay in a good chunk of change. But he stays with MAMA now and has no bills his truck is paid for and he rides the roads like there is no tomorrow while i'm stuck here drowning in debt from the 11 years of marital debt that we have acquired. I guess my questions would be. Should I keep all the money I get from my return and get caught up on bills and try to save my perfect credit of 37 years from going down the drain or should I help him pay for what he owes in taxes? He of course is stating the he needs the money because he's broke... |
