I went to see my ex-husbands son today at the juvenile facility he is locked up in. That is how my day started. We still consider each other mother and son. It was a good visit till he tried to get in between me and his fathers relationship since the divorce. He wants us back together and when he brought it up, I didn't tell him what he wanted/hoped to hear. Other than that, the visit went well.
While visiting with my stepson we noticed the baby had an absence seizure. I decided to go to my ex-husbands house to be with the baby and watch the Colts game there. Things were going ok there. We didn't fight once.......for a change. While I was there, my daughter was here at home with 2 of her friends. No big deal, that was fine. I had agreed to have my ex take one of her friends home after the game around 10:30pm. I had forgotten the time because I was watching the post game.
My daughter called me at 10:40pm reminding me of what I was to do. Since I had forgotten, the girls wanted me to call that girls father and ask if the young lady could stay all night with my daughter and come home when my daughter went to school. I agreed and called her dad to ask.
When I did reach her dad I got a major shock! I was informed that she had to be home right away even if that meant him walking to my house to get her. I was told that there was some shit going down that had to be addressed right away. It is cold here so that wouldn't have been fair since I agreed to bring her home.
When I asked if he wanted to tell me what was going on, I would not tell the daughter because she has only been home for 2 days after being a run away for 3 months. The girl is 17 and 2 months. He told me that the girls grandmother has pressed charges against the granddaughter and her bf for stealing a prescription of pills, $1600 dollars, and a gun, and the law wanted to talk to her as soon as the game ended. The dad was to call the law as soon as the girl got there.
I picked the girl up and didn't say a word to her about what was waiting for her when she walked into her house. I had running to do after I dropped the young lady at home, but when I got home (about 45 minutes later), I sat my daughter down and told her that I had something to tell her.
I made her promise that she would not call anyone or tell anyone what I was going to tell her. She promised not to tell a soul. I told her everything I knew. She got real pissed at ME! She said she couldn't keep the promise not to call the bf and warn him about what was happening. I told her that I could go to jail if we tell him, for obstruction of justice.
This just made her madder! She said that these ppl were her family and she couldn't just sit back and watch it all happen without telling what she knew. She said the gf already talked to her about her grandmothers accusations and that they were false. I told her the law was going to question her about it and they would know where to go from there.
Now I am a terrible person because of not wanting to go to jail. Then she told me that I shouldn't have told her about any of it. I told her that I only told her out of respect for her. I didn't want her to find out later that I knew and didn't tell her. She yelled at me and told me that I should have kept it to myself, taken it to the grave with me.
Then she told me that another friend of hers, a 15 year old, told her that there would most likely be no school tomorrow because of the roads and the prediction of more snow and ice tonight. I told her that the roads right now are not a problem and if we don't get anything there will be school. She said that there would be at least a 2 hour delay because of the roads.....I again told her the roads were clear.
I guess this was more than she could bear because she decided right then and there to make phone calls so she could move out. My daughter left my home at 1:15 this morning by taxi to stay with her 17 yr old friend that just had a baby, the girls mother and boyfriend,and the girls sister, all in a 3 bedroom trailer. The young mom will be getting a govenmentally subsidised apartment soon and my daughter thinks she can move in with her and the baby. I tried to tell her that she isn't allowed to. You can only have someone stay 14 days with you when it is a subsidised place for just a mother and child. Of course, I was wrong again.
No matter what I do with her, I am always wrong.
My day went from good visit, good playoff results (Colts won!), to big time HELL !!!!!
