My angel flew so close to me 

that I could feel her breath 

But when I looked into her eyes

I knew that she was death

I saw the tears that can drown men

and fire that burns them too

I saw the bloody battle field 

where young men went to die

For honor glory and a way of life

My angel showed me horrid things 

that men from her can't hide

for when she comes for your last breath

all secrets open wide
