I have MS.  January will be 7 years living with knowing this is what I have.  The past nearly 7 years have been an experience.  Well, once I finally came to terms with this whole thing.  Life with MS can be difficult.  When they first told me I had MS, I knew it wasn't good, but I didn't know anything about it.  At first, I thought I had it so bad, but over the years talking to others with MS, I would say I'm pretty lucky.  I don't have pain!!!  At least not at this point.  MS is always changing.  What I do deal with is bad balance, not being able to be on my feet for a long period of time, my sense of touch is not right, and my legs and feet don't have a normal feeling, but it is difficult to explain.  I also go to the restroom about 20 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.  But I have done things in the past 7 years that I like to brag about.  I helped organize an MS walk to raise money.  We only did one.  The support group that I used to go to did it and I was involved.  I helped plan my 20th year class reunion!!  I've traveled to Florida to see friends 5 times.  I'm involved in a drug study to find another treatment for MS.  This treatment is good, it's a pill not a shot!!  What's best about it, I'm getting good results with it.  It is my hope and dream that one day there will be a cure.  Until that cure comes along, I'm all for a better way to treat it. 

One thing I have learned with MS.  Life is full of detours, but if you look around you see some beautiful sites.
