More songs and memories for today…
Goo Goo Dolls – Iris
This makes me think of both my first year of college and my first year in CA. When I hear this song though I see both my dorm room at Tech, the one I had to myself and the set of Terminator the Musical. It even brings back the smells and little things I forget otherwise. That year was a good one for me, even if I was on academic probation after it.
Nirvana – Nevermind
I remember days in band where we’d have a substitute and we’d all just hang around in groups and chat. I remember a bunch of us talking about this song while watching the guys play hacky sack. Ah, the joys of high school.
Pearl Jam – Jeremy
Again, this brings to mind another Trigun AMV. I’m such a geek.
A-Ha – Take On Me
This one is associated with riding with Zach and friends in the Malk-Mobile singing at the top of our lungs. The only problem was that the only part that most of them knew was the high pitched note “two”. So you heard a lot of sort-of singing and then 4 guys and a girl belting out that note while driving down Contra Costa.
And I think that’s it for today. I know…not that many for a day of pretty good music. Ah well.
