Lee's blog: "Military Related"

I finally did it! I passed my advancement exam and I am now an E4. I had passed the exam before but hadn't advance because there weren't many openings. I have also been doing funerals whenever the center needs me. I got in my required amount for my first Navy and Marine Corp Acheivement Metal. I will recieve that in July. So I am definately excited. It seams like my Navy career is heading in the right direction.

I know that I haven't been on for a while. There are a few people on here that remain loyal to me as a friend and I really appreciate it. Thanks you guys. I just got back from California. Did my first AT out there and it was awesome! Made some great friends and did some really cool stuff too. In fact, if it weren't so expensive, I would move out there. Got to go to Malibu and LA. Hiked in the mountains and climed into a cave that mountain lions go in...could see all their paw prints...that was awesome! That was my first time to see the Pacific Ocean...it was beautiful. Anyway, can't say much about what I did out there for the Navy because it was "secret". Had fun though on the little bit of time that I got off!

I actually didn't get out of bed til 10 am today, which is early considering what time I had been getting up. Then, found out at about 11:30 that it is drill weekend. My Petty Officer had called and left a voicemail asking where I was. I didn't hear the phone ring cause I turn it off at night. So I rush in for the second half of drill today. Make it just in time for GMT (which is always fun...hint of sarcasm). Everything seamed fine. We went through GMT and I went on to do what I normally do...which involves a little bit of nothing or everything, depending on who can find me ;) The PO comes into the classroom later and shuts the door behind him. He turns to me and says that he needs to talk to me. I figured that I was in trouble for comming in late...he said that I was in some deep shit...that I have been nominated for an award for everything that I have done at the reserve center. He couldn't hold back from laughing at me. It's not official yet but it's still great. Makes me feel like what I do isn't ignored. I still have to submit an eval and fill out this paper for the CO. If he approves it....I'll let you know! :D
