3. Don't bring your drama here! I will block you! There is only so much bullshit I can put up with.
4. Don't lie to me. Won't get you anywhere.
5. Treat me like you want me to treat you.
About me. Lets see. I am one of Lewistons Finest. Born in Lewiston, Maine. Not proud, its just a shitty fact of life that l have to deal with.
As a child I loved music. Collecting records, something that I still do to this day. (When I have the money). I can say that music has driven me since I was very young. In my early teens I was a part of a group of very wise kids that knew that we had to create a music scene in our town. At the age of 15 I was hauling gear to shows. Setting up PA Systems. Have all ages punk shows. We were able to have shows all over the place. We started bringing in bigger bands. I set up a DRI concert when I was 17 yrs old. After that cannibal corpse, brutal truth, internal bleeding and a bunch more bands.
During all of that, right after high school when I was 17. I got my first radio show @ 91.5FM WRBC. I was on the air for over 5 years. What I called the Friday night drunk slot. My show was called Lewistons Finests Trip to hell That soon became my favorite thing to do. After those 5 yrs at the station I felt like I needed to do something else.
I went to Orlando, FL where I attended Full Sail Center for the Recordings Arts. While there I did earn a degree in Film & Video Production - Audio Engineering - Digital Media 2D and 3D Graphics. Im well rounded when it comes to anything in the media field.
After college I got a job with Relapse Records out of PA doing public relations. Where I got to travel with a lot of bands like Crisis, Dillenger Escape Plan, Soilent Green and my favorite Mr. Bungle. I do have to say it was one of the most exciting periods of my life.
I decided to return to Maine. When I opened my production company, Big Brother Productions. I held large venue acts that required a lot of different skills. Setting up staging, lighting, video effects (Eye Candy) and of course making sure those bands got on stage as on schedule. Which if youve ever done live sound. That can be a hard thing to get a band to do.
At the same time I opened a club. We did all types of genres of music there. Though the clubs life was short. The city council of Lewiston made an ordinance that made it impossible for me to keep my doors open. I went up against the city, petitions, on every news channel. All the stops but the old fashion values ruin a good time once again.
At that point I decided to try my luck out in Oakland, Cali. It was great. I had the shitty job, sleeping on some ones couch with my dog and computer in hand. I have friends out there that are really involved with the underground metal scene out there. Soon became a roadie again and got to go on a small West coast tour. Worked with amazing bands like Neurosis,Today is the Day, High on Fire, High Tone Son of a Bitch, Cruevo, Dystopia, Nigel Pepper Cock and so many more. The sad ending of this one was I had to go back to Maine because of my parents getting ill.
When I returned I went into a total different field. Mental Health. Shit, if you can handle dealing with fucked up bands and all the members BS.. You can handle most any nut job. I did this job up until my son was born. Since then I have been a single mother raising a special needs child.
Since I did leave my life in music behind. I started to DJ here from home on fubar. To fill the void that I feel in my life. So Ive been doing the DJ thing here online for well over a year now. Worked for many great lounges. I have met so many good ppl and of course Ive met my share of bad.
So please.. If I sound like a interesting person. If you wanna chat. You can find me by clicking the link below. If there isnt I didnt say.. Go ahead ask.. Be warned.. My answers are extremely honest. Hope to see you around. CHEERS!!!
