The parents of Madeleine McCann have given a glimpse of how they are coping with the loss of their daughter. New photographs show Kate and Gerry McCann smiling as they play with their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie. The pictures give an insight into how the family is trying to maintain a sense of normality, 17 days after Madeleine disappeared. Madeleine was abducted as she slept in her bed in her parents' holiday apartment in the seaside village of Praia Da Luz, southern Portugal. Mr and Mrs McCann allowed a photographer to take pictures of them eating lunch and reading books with the twins on Saturday in the flat to which they have moved. Mrs McCann has yellow and green ribbons tied in her hair to symbolise hope for her daughter's safe return. Her husband is also wearing a green and yellow wristband and Amelie has her hair tied in bunches with a green clip and a yellow band. Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the £2.5m offered to find the four-year-old could be hampering the investigation. Police are being distracted by false leads of sightings of the toddler by people motivated by money, a Portuguese police source said. Portugal's Policia Judiciaria (PJ) has had calls reporting possible sightings of Madeleine pouring in from across Europe and even North Africa. Madeleine's image was beamed from giant screens at the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday. The 90,000-strong crowd fell silent as images of Madeleine were broadcast on screens at either end of the pitch - each one the size of 600 domestic TV sets. Anglo-Portuguese man Robert Murat, 33, was last week named as the first "arguido" or suspect in her disappearance. But no evidence has been found to arrest or charge him.
