I live in a haunted house. If you live in a house which is a 131 years old like mine you will probably have a good chance of supernatural phenomena. I moved into my current Victorian terraced residence in August 2001. After living there for about a year phenomena started. The most surprising thing is that we have a ghost of a cat in our house. The first time it occurred was on a Sunday evening around 7 pm. I was lying on the floor watching TV (as I do) when what seemed to be our cat rubbed it's way down my back and legs. If you have a cat you will be used to this and know what I mean. Obviously as I am used to my cat doing this I was not startled in anyway. I turned around expecting to see my cat but he was not there he was fast asleep on a chair on the other side of the room. I sat there in stunned silence for a few seconds trying to assess what had just happened when my wife who was reading a book on the sofa suddenly sat up and said that sometime had just rubbed around her shins. Again our cat was still fast asleep. This event has happened now on numerous occasions in the past 5 years. The last time was last Friday evening. and this only occurs roughly around two or three times a year but usually at the same time of day.
A figure of a cat also makes an appearance in our downstairs hallway. Again this only happens about five or six times a year, but this happens around midday. The cat that is seen is a fairly large black or very dark coloured cat. As our own cat is very similar in size and colour you often go to step over it just to realise that it is not there. We normally go and check on the location of our own cat to see if it was him or our spectral visitor. I have seen it suddenly appear at one end of our near 30 foot long hallway walk virtually the full length and then disappear at the other end. It's great to witness it, I would love to try and capture it on a camera if it would only appear more often than it does already.
