People that I know are always telling me how good government schools (public schools) are. The more that I think about it the more I disagree. I believe that the U.S. started public schools around the same time that massive amounts of Catholic Irish immigrants came to this country. People in the U.S. were afraid that these immigrants would spread Catholicism. The system of schooling that we adopted was the Prussian system (the same system Nazi Germany used). Leaders not followers What type of people come out of these government schools? I think that the public school system produces followers. When you go to school one of the first things you learn is how to take orders. Stand in a single file line, get permission to speak, sit up straight, do as I tell you, sit in a assigned seat, and you even have to ask to use the bathroom. I often wonder how 13 years of following orders can produce a leader, let alone an independent thinker. Making us stupid We used to learn how to read and write by sounding out the word. Now schools use pattern recognition. One major drawback of pattern recognition is that students can only read and write small words. This destroys reading comprehension. One way to prove this is by going back 60 years and looking at the nations best selling books. Books that were average best sellers 60 years ago are now considered to be college material. What are best sellers today? Children's books like Harry Potter are best sellers. Many of the books readers are adults who struggle to get through the book. Another way government schools make people stupid is by waisting their time. People learn to walk and talk on their own by the age of 2. Government schools take 13 years to teach people how to read and write and do basic math. If that isn't a waste of a childhood then I don't know what is. By the time students hit the real world it is too late, they are 18 and the best years for their brains to learn are already behind them. Payment How are these government institutions funded? By our money of course. Everyone gets money stolen out of their paycheck to pay for schools. Even if your kid is in private school. Even if you don't have a kid money is still stolen from you. People say that it is given and not stolen out of their income. I disagree with this because you are forced to pay the money. Try not paying the money and the government will take your property, if you resist this the government will send people with guns to take your property, if you resist that they will shoot and kill you. Talk about death and taxes, what a bad deal this is. If a business does good it receives profit, if a government school does bad it receives a profit. If a school can not manage the budget it gets more money. If a school was constructed badly it gets more money to fix the school. If the school runs into any financial problems it gets more money. If I was running a school I would have it poorly built, I would waste money, and I would mismanage the budget. These things combined would get me piles of extra money for my school. Maybe that is why schools are always falling apart, have no money for books, and the heating and air conditioning are always broken. Teachers complain that they do not get paid enough money. Well last time I checked they are free to choose a different career path. I think the payment is more than enough. 40 to 60 thousand dollars a year to get summers off, weekends off, Christmas break off, spring break off, fall beak off, holidays off, sick days off, and vacation. Teachers probably work half of the days in the year for the stolen money that they receive. Who gets hurt The government schooling system deals damage to a lot of different people. Children are encouraged to snitch on their parents for petty things like yelling, weed, alcohol, and discipline, causing damage to the family. Damage is dealt to tax payers who get money stolen out of their income. Damage gets dealt to the young mind of our future, all in the name of this hurtful government scam we call "public school".
