Interests
Hi Ya'll,
Here is where I am to post my interest, and I have to confess I just simply try to enjoy relationships, that alone has been taking up much of my time. More so face to face I spend time in my own space. I was invited here by a great jounalist and artist Bryant. Since here I have found new relationships. I do appreciate people.
I am a southern belle, raised south of New Orleans on da Bayou. I carry a great fondness for my heritage. Since Katrina and Rita this country has become more aware of a dilema that I have watched progress all my life... The vanishing Wetlands.I too (when ignorant to the reasons) could not understand why a people would want to stay in the perils of all these creatures (bugs). But in my coming of age I fell in Love with and came to a great appreciation for these the people of da bayou. Life is so fast paced and here I was able to live slow enough to touch so many more souls. Not just in passing, but in continuous connections. I grew up with all my grandparents and Great Aunts and Uncles, cousins, etc. We often had gatherings not just for Christmas. If Someone had a great catch or hunt we had a feast for the family and of course we always had a new addition or a new friend to entertain with food, games and converstion. I recently held my own Celebration of life...over 70 members of my family gathered for OUR traditional Gumbo and Potatoe Salad feast...It was my grandmothers main course, my mothers and now mine. It was a grand success, and I trully enjoyed all the new family. So many of the younger couples with their new babies came. We ate good sha...Chicken and sausage gumbo, redfish cubion, shrimp casserole, and of course rice and Potatoe salad. We had our traditional ball game in my field...lots of laughs and story telling. As they left I felt so blessed as they requested we do it more often. My Grandmothers would be proud.Southern Louisiana has a Flavor all its own. But we share sha
