| 24-year-old Ontario County man was found guilty Thursday of deliberately killing the 10-month-old daughter of his girlfriend. Ahkeem Whitfield was convicted of second-degree murder by a jury after less than 2 hours of deliberations. He could be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. "The baby is gone. All you can do is secure some justice for her," said Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo after the verdict. Tantillo said he probably would ask for the maximum at Whitfield's sentencing on April 22. |
