Kentucky in my mind
The mountains they engulfed me
such a long long way from home
excited and eager to conquer
this realm of life on my own
Listening to the moans of Bluegrass
soothing an ache in my soul
after awhile learning
the heart doesn't have a home
Everyone has roots
that place you come from
but you carry the heart with you
you are it's home
I let myself fall in love with
the cool air through the pines
If I close my eyes I can see it
