| With the economy as bad as it is, my hours are going to change for work. I've been at the same place for the past 5 summers and a full year,all working full time.I have never recieved a raise and only get paid minimum wage. They decided to cut my hours and give my a split shift.I'll be working 6:30-8:30 am and then 3:00-6:00 pm. I recently moved back in with my dad and work is now 20 minutes away.Working a split shift,i'll be using twice as much gas as i do now. I want to quit and find a closer job but through my work I have a full scholarship in the community college to get my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.If i quit,i loose the scholarship but with the economy so bad,the program may stop all scholoarships. I already have my Child Development Associate which is known nationwide in the child care buisness.I'm sure i'll be able to get another job in a child care center that is closer to my dad's but is it worth takin the risk and losing my scholoarship. |
