I only have 2 more classes to finish this fall to get my Funeral Directors license. I want to get my embalming license. The thing is, I am doing it online. And they have discontinued microbiology online. Also I will have to take some additional electives. With the microbiology they have told me that I can take it at another college and that will be fine. Now with my A.C.E. credits I have 1 1/2 years of college. (A.C.E. credits are given for schools and training while in the military). My college does not accept A.C.E. credits.
Now I have been checking out other schools that have mortuary training online. Texas only accepts 4 different schools, and I have contacted them. It would cost me more, and so far one school has told me I am better off staying where I am. Still waiting on the other two schools but at this point don't think it is an option.
So do I stick it out where I am?
or
Give up on the embalming license for now and just settle for just the funeral directors license? |
