Written By: John Richard Hendley III This next poem is a poem I wrote after the 911 didaster and I reecieved a letter of appreciation from the White House for this poem it is also listed on poetry.com Just list John Hendley for the author and it will be one of the poems on the list of them dheck them out, and if you would like to hear it go to: http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/spacecowboy it is on there with the 2 songs, "There You are!" & "Loneliness Of The night" In which I am including the lyrics below!!! I And My Noble Eagle As I and my Noble Eagle look down, tears fall from our eyes, as we watch part of what we are fall. We scream out wails for our dead and missing. Then I and My Noble Eagle watch as a new spirit comes together to unite so many in a comon cause to search, unite, uplift , and heal. Then I and My Noble Eagle search the skies for answers, we also search the ground for our own, and the holes in the ground where our enemy hides. Then I and My Noble Eagle look to you to help each other to heal. Take heart we are flying above to watch over you. I and My Noble Eagle soar above and we scream, "We shall overcome and be confident in our resolve!!" JUST PROBABLY Just probably---there are things about you I don't know Just probably---there is some things I don't want to know Just probably---there is no place to go then again who really knows Just probably---there is one-hundred ways to say the things we want to say Just probably---we have hidden desires that need to be lit with passion Just probably---we are trying to forget sometimes that doesn't work Just probably---there is no end in sight then again maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel Just probably---this could be my own problem then again it might be yours too Just probably---I really don't know then again maybe I do Just probably--- Written By: John Richard Hendley III John Richard Hendley III 204 South Alvord Street Syracuse, New York 13203-1568 This is a lyric Sheet to one of my songs!! Loneliness Of The Night As I sit by the window I look out, and I see all the street lights aglow I hate, 'cause they're laughting at me I sit here all alone memories dance inside my head what used to be is done each day I awake with dread I can't remember what went wrong not exactly, it's all a haze so, now I think of a sad song. Life is like a mixed-up maze Maybe the sun will shine I just don't know. I can't think straight, my mind is only out the window Remembering the way it was just don't do me any good I can't help it, just because the thought of the past was good Now I am here all alone no one left but me just what have I done I just can't see Is there anyone that cares, That'll cure the loss in my heart, doesn't anyone dare? These thoughts tear me apart. There You Are! I saw you today, How are you doing? How is your life going; are you well? Just thought I would ask. I still remember the long nights we had. Verse The warming time- The sensations are there, You make me feel like an overgrown teddy bear! I feel warm inside whenever I think of the times we had together. They are good feelings that keep me company on long winter nights. Repeat Verse Remember the cabin we had fun in, out in the middle of a blizzard in no man's land, with time to ourselves and no one around to disturb us. Repeat Verse Please tell me you remember the times, because I will never forget. I still have the cabin and I would like to invite you to come stay with me. Repeat Verse I would like for you to relive those times with me all over. In the woods it is private, I still feel your warmth, I hope you still feel mine, please say yes. I am yours, I am here, Love ya! SILENT WAVE The drama ectasy of the silent night not a word. No-oh no! I just have the silence to bathe in. The quietness has a stronghold on my life, no questions, no pain, no strife then with a swift wave of my emotions, silence is interrupted it bought the only time that was corrupted. John Richard Hendley III Copyright ©2006 John Richard Hendley, III SILENT WHISPER Just around the corner, hanging from the wall dripping from the ceiling, moving across the floor, it is the silence. Not a word to be said, then a sudden break in the silence. The silence is broken by a low whisper. Wha-what was said I can barely hear the words. Was this just my imagination? Could this be a ghost from days gone by? Could this whisper be rumors of things to come? The silence returns, all is quiet! John Richard Hendley III Copyright ©2006 John Richard Hendley, III -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE FALLEN DAY I awoke. The day fell. No explanation, no apology, the day just fell. Where Was I? I guess I fell too! You, I don't know about, my day fell. John Richard Hendley III Copyright ©2006 John Richard Hendley III THE PICTURE THAT FELL The picture fell off the wall I would think that was odd. I wondered if the picture was plagued with time? I wanted to punch the wall. all I could see was the picture falling. I aimed my thoughts at the wall. I felt a rip in time, as one possesses the moment the picture fell. I left my original thoughts with no returns. The picture played in my mind as it floats and would shake all the way to the floor, it is too late for any saves. I just stood there shimmering.
