What are you waiting for?

Sunday, April 16, 2007 Had a bad night last night. Watched "Flip That House". Ty Pennington was keeping a promise to a cancer victim. His cancer was much more severe than Jerry's. The man on tv was diagnosed with some sort of melanoma and died 5 months later. They were looking forward to the restorations to the house when he was diagnosed and it took his savings. The entire town got together to see his dreams come true for his house and a mill that was also restored. They coordinated parts of the old house into the new house. Did the same with the mill. What got me was near his death, he looked like Jerry. I boo hoo'd through the segments I saw. I did my best to distract myself. I should have watched the middle of the show instead of being on computer. I watched the beginning and end of the show. Went job hunting and put in the application of caring for bf till his death. I hope I did that ok. I could not remember details of my past jobs, except for the AF, and caring for Jerry. I do not think I will be doing to well finding a job. Had a flash of memory. I have an old resume' on floppy so will see if I can use it and see what happens! April 17, 2007 Found the disk and discovered the floppy disk drive does not work so my son in law will be coming by to have a look see. Listening to CNN on the Va Tech terror. Thirty three gone and at least 15 injured. Also a threat at a college in Texas. I also noticed that the shooter targeted the engineer classes where part of our future is. They named the shooter but yet told of his background and if anyone noticed any changes in him recently. My prayers go out to all of the victims, and the victims famlies. No chance to say good by. No 'I love you'. My mother was sudden. She called me on the phone panicked saying she could not breathe. I told her to call 911, I love her and I am on my way. A 30 minute drive that took 15 minutes that night, she died before I got there. She was already in the ambulance when I arrived. ER people told me she told them what and where the problem is (she used to be an RN) and went unconcious and did not wake back up. I was her caretaker as well. Drove her to her Dr's appointments, grocery shopping, pay bills, etc. Same with my mother in law who saw me as a daughter she always wanted. She knew of the troubles with me and her son and could not understand why her son was like that since he was not raised that way. She knew I loved her very much, but not so much her son. I think she appreciated the honesty. I think having to call friends and relatives and telling them a loved one is gone is just as painful as the death itself. You have to repeat this news to however many friends and relatives there are. I miss them all equally as they all had an important place in my heart. Mom, Dad, My In Laws, Mom's best friend, and Jerry.
