Is it stupid to go all out for your childs 1st birthday? Or should it just be kept simple since chances are the child wont remember it anyway.
The reason i ask is because and before I get into this I want to state that we are by no means a rich family...lol I have seen some people spend Thousands of dollars on their childs 1st birthdays.
anyway point being is that i saved $100 every month all year for My sons up coming Birthday party which is in 9 days. I made custom Invitations, Thank you cards and gift bags that have a custom wrapped Chocolate bar and a smencil etc.. We are having it at a pizza place and have about roughly 45 guests coming. Now my son doesnt have alot of toys since he mainly plays with his older sisters toys...lol so I plan on buying him atleast 3 big toys..
My MIL thinks that i am stupid for spending (the current total is $750) this amount of money on him. I say it should be my choice Its my son and he only turns 1 once..
I guess i just wanted to know if other people think the same way i do. |
