It Was You
A cold,lonely wind
Blows through the dark caverns of my mind.
Singing a mornful dirge
That saddens my soul and darkens my heart.
A malstrom of emotions pummel me mercilessly.
I'm in an angry sea of depression
Trying to keep my head above water.
Not sure whether I can hold on,
Thinking just maybe this is the end.
But then...out of the chaos,
A whisper is heard.
A voice full of hope...of encouragement.
Soon the cold,lonely wind
Turns into a soft summers breeze.
I follow the whisper out of the
Darkness of my mind
Into a lush,peaceful valley.
With long, green grasses being riffled by the breeze.
Bringing a long needed calmness
Over Me.
And the whisper...gets louder.
A voice that thrills and gladdens my troubled
Soul and excites my lonely heart.
And who, you ask,
Was it that whispered in the wind?
That was voice,
that brought light to the darkness.
It was you my friend...
Yes it was you!
