I'm in an great mood and it's about time! You have to excuse me if this sounds discombobulated. I'm typing this entry in breaks between doing laundry and rearranging my living room. (We're getting a new couch! One of those that go around corners. You know, I know the name and I just can't think of it right now. Oh well, I'm sure ya'll can understand the-excitement-that-makes-you-forget-things.)
I'm incredibly excited about what's going out there in the writing world. Jason Sizemore has his own chapbook, Ann Aguirre has TWO multi-book deals, and I just discovered that Kealan Patrick Burke (who has left no doubt in my mind as to why he is a Stoker winner) is releasing his Stoker winning novel as a free ebook. Speaking of Jasons, mine finished reading Corpse Blood last night. Actual discussion was a little slim because he said he really liked it. Victory! Now I plan to go through and look at all the notes I've gotten from readers and start rewriting. I polished the query I plan to use up a few days ago and I feel really good about it. I'm still waiting until January to start sending it out, because I feel it'll get more attention after the holidays. And that gives me a comfortable amount of time to do a last polish and the dreaded synopsis. But I'm very, very excited about this one. It has the potential to be big, in my humble opinion of course.
In lieu of more content because I really do have a lot of other stuff to do today (the living room to finish, his notes to go through, plus normal interwebbing and it's actually family hour right now, which is when we all sit on the big bed cuddling and play Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy together), here's the teaser I made for the bloodwalker series all together, not just this first book (I have 6 total plotted out!)
