My boyfriend and I have been exclusive for a year and have lived together for almost 5 mos. Both of us were previously in 10 yr marriages where we were dumped on and we both intended to stay single forever. HOWEVER..we clicked from day one, and fell in love.We discussed our future and we agreed we wanted to be married by the start of 2010. HERE IS THE PROBLEM... because of that...I EXPECTED I'd get a ring for Christmas or my birthday which was Jan.5. My BFF mentioned it to him bout a month ago and he FLIPPED OUT!!! He said he wasn't ready for that yet and why did I need a ring "SO SOON" as if we just met. I think IF he's REALLY planning to marry me in a yr then he should WANT to give me a ring. He says we girls are always wanting men to PROVE their love and I need to be patient, and let things happen. It has caused ALOT of tension and fights this past month cause now I'm alil worried about his true intent. WHO IS RIGHT???
