Here on Cherrytap I have gotten to know a large number of great folks from all walks of life.
And earlier this morning I received an inbox message from another user who wondered about how he could resolve a problem that one of my friends here on Cherrytap had with him. I told him that I was reluctant not to get involved because it might backfire upon both of us and we might lose friends or even memberships.
Now I understand that it is important to respect everyone's personal spaces even with the emphasis of creating personal networks, and I get it.
That said, I also think that maybe there could be some room to work with two persons' own personal problems, maybe in a private or public forum within this site or even independent of that.
However I think also that maybe there is a reason some of us decide we don't want to deal with someone, by ignoring them and deleting them from our friends lists, and maybe we might be concerned about the prospect of stalking and cyberstalking, considering the negative press that comes from incidents that have erupted from these sorts of things.
Now I must turn this over to you and ask you what do you think about helping people resolve differences with other members of online communities like this. |
