In My Friends Garden
I was nothing just a seed in the wind.
Til someone captured me as a friend.
They planted me in the ground,nutured me,fed me, and cared for me.
I struggle so hard to reach; reach up out of the darkness.
My arms are growing up; up towards the light above.
My feet spread out below me; planting solid roots to stand on.
I hear my family around me struggling as I have.
Then, I hear one cry out in pain, trampled.
Their arms are broken.
I don't know if I have a prayer to reach the beauty that is inside me.
As I pray I feel the warmth of love around me.
And, my beauty is finally seen and admired in my friends garden
