I haven't done a blog before. I hope I'm doing this right.
I just got hit by a hater. This guy rated my foto a 3. You should see HIS foto! He has a lot of nerve. See for yourself (unless you don't want him to notice you and give YOU a low rating also):

I visited this guy's profile and foto and found several comments from others that he hated on. This guy isn't just hating on guys either. Several comments about low rates come from women as well.
One woman who he rated low STILL gave him a 10 because she doesn't believe in giving low ratings!!! Amazing!!!
What is the best way to deal with a hater on fubar?

That guys profile seems to be dormant. I'm guessing it may have been a fake profile.
It turns out that the same number of pointz are awarded regardless of what the rating is. And re-ratings don't award any more pointz. They merely adjust the overall score of the foto or profile itself. But pointz are what take you to the next level and give you fu-bucks.
Check out my foto folder called "Rated me very low" if you want to see screenshots of my haters. I don't bother with anyone who rated me with a 7 or above. I choose to believe that those are honest ratings.
I have seen the number of pointz being awarded change, but currently the pointz:

(I tried posting this without the underlines, but fubar strips out multiple spaces. I hope it works better with the underscores as spacers.)
Whether the number of pointz awarded change or not, the bottom line is that the person doing an action gets fewer pointz than the person being acted upon.
So just be thankful that the low raters gave you pointz. If their low rating bothers you, be content not to give them any pointz in return.
If you really MUST respond, keep the pointz low by leaving them only one comment telling them what you think of them. And do give a comment on their profile, not their foto, because commenting on their profile will give you 6 pointz as opposed to only 2 for commenting on their foto. They get 10 pointz for a comment from you in either place.
But my suggestion is merely to thank them for the pointz, and try to be a little ornery, just to provoke them. Maybe it will entice them to leave YOU a comment in return, which will give the 10 pointz right back to you. But you can then delete the comment. If they comment again, that's 10 more pointz for you. Don't thank them more than once. Don't give them pointz more than once.
These are merely suggestions. Draw your own conclusions and proceed however it suits you.
