What motivates a hit-and-run driver?
Somebody knocked my brother-in-law Todd Sayre off his motorcycle early yesterday morning and, in my wife's words, "left him lying in a ditch like roadkill."
He's gone -- his organs will soon be enroute to saving several other lives.
Not that it would've mattered much, based on what I've heard about evidence of the impact, but what kind of person can't be bothered to stop and make a damned phone call????? How hard is it to find a phone and dial 911?
How do I help my wife through the senseless loss of her baby brother? How do I deal with my own anger at this (for now) nameless, faceless piece of human offal?
By what twisted piece of reasoning is this behavior OK?
