My car got stolen a week ago and was never recovered and i was given only $5000 to get a new one which obviously gave me limited options.
So here is what im considering.
a 2001 Subaru Legacy L wagon, a basic version of the outback with 59,000 mi. It has a salvaged title from a accident but according to the owner the frame was never damaged and airbags were never deployed. the body does look good so you cant tell it was it i will vouch for that....
----OR----
A 2000 Subaru Outback wagon which is the better version of the legacy, with 112,000 mi and clean title. apparently it was serviced as it should be etc. both i would be paying $5000 for cash. What do you guys think? Am i an asshat to consider either of these?
