I am offically Aunt Cole!
That said...the story of Hayden Maie's begining is...hmmm. Odd lol. My little sister Courtney found out she was pregnant a few months ago and she was almost 5 months along at that time. They gave her a due date of March 31st. Sunday night, after the Super Bowl, she was bleeding a little, by the time they got her to the hospital, her water had broke. Scary! Being that she wasn't at her due date. They took her by ambulance to another hospital that had a NICU. Horrible nurses, but the NICU is awesome. We were not very pleased with the care my sister got while on the maternity floor. Our sister Jesi and I, and her boyfriend and his mother Jo'el stayed with her night and day. Yesterday evening, she started to experience more pain then she had ever had. The nurses, being the idiots that they were, told her it was nothing, just pain because there was no fluid for the baby to move in. Ha! Come to find out, she was in active labor! Well, the rushed her over to the delivery area a little before 1am, by 1:34am.....baby Hayden Maie arrived crying! We were worried she was going to be really, really small. She is still small, but not what we thought. She is 4 pounds 4 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. Dark head of hair like her Momma, we think she has her Daddy's nose, lol we have picked on him about that since day one. Both Mommy and baby were doing good when I left, Hayden was in the NICU, breathing on her own. That was our worst concern. She wiggles a lot and cries
She is soooo beautiful.
With that said, that is where I have been for the last few days. Was not going to leave my sisters side. I am soooo excited things went well and the labor was quick and easy for Courtney and Hayden.
Now, it's back to the hospital I go to see my awesome little sister and my little beautiful neice!
