I just want to say something here, as I just got home from hockey.
We, as in athletes. We always grow up dreaming about that game winning home run, touch down catch, buzzer beater 3 pointer, and now the 170 foot short handed goal.

It was an ugly, or as I would like to think of as FUGLY, game. Our team started out flat, and the team we were playing was playing out of their asses.
The ice was shitty, so the puck was not settling. It was just dying when you figure it was going to travel. Things just were happening were you would find yourself out of position, and stupid shit happening.
We were off for two weeks coming into tonights game. They got to play Friday night. It helps to have played the week before. So we were really flat.
So we scored the first goal, then they tied the game. Then we scored in the second period, and they scored again to tie it up. They were playing well. Out playing us. Our forwards were just getting out hustled.
So we get a BS penalty called on us. They had scored the last time on the PP. But Lance and I went out on the ice to kill. And they were forcing the puck well.
So they shoot, our goalie mis-plays the shot. I happened to be there just in front of the crease, and I rip a shot at their net.
One of their defensemen went to stop the shot, deflects off of his stick, goes up in the air, starts bouncing, right through the wickets. And into the net. 170 feet. I have scored from the oppisite blue line, and empty netters.
So we go up 3-2. And then it was a defensive battle from there.
So yeah, we played like shit, it was ugly. But we won. If we play like this on saturday. We will get our asses kicked.
So yes, I scored the game winner tonight. As a little kid, I always dreamed about it. But more like Stanley Cup playoffs. Not adult hockey, lol. It is a crappy way to score, but all you see is the score, and we won.
Mind you, I have scored game winners before in tourneys. I have hit walk off HR's. And you know what. They still feel good.
