ok let me just first say that tonight was just an awsome night all together.
well i wanted to leave my house today around 1 so that Krystle and I could get to Starland early but that didnt happen. we left my house around 4:30 only having to turn back around because she forgot her ticket in her car. so after that little misshap we were on the road. the trip there was going smooth until i got off at the wrong exit and we got a little lost. by now its a little after 6 and the show is supposed to start at 7. so we are alittle freaked but we pulled into an A&P(i think it was) and got directions to get onto the right path. we found the right was to go and we got to Starland a little before 7.
it was raining not hard but not light and we stood out in the rain for a good half hour cuz they didnt open doors till sometime after 7:30. well we get in and the show didnt start until after 8 but we didnt mind cuz we were really close. the first band up was Young Love and i hadnt heard these guys before but now im like in love with them. they put on an awsome show and the singer, Dan, dances around the stage and let me tell ya that boy can dance.
next up was The Pink Spiders and their set was really awsome too. instead of stopping between songs like most bands do they just kept on playing through the songs. half way through their set though they were having guitar problems and Matt got on the mic and asked if anyone knew how to tune a guitar and he later said that Jersey was one of the best shows.
after them was the moment we had waited for all night. yup thats right it was time for Good Charlotte and like i said in the beginning of the post this show was by far one of the best out of the other 5 shows ive seen them put on. they played alot of stuff off the first album like season, east coast anthem, some of little things and i heard you(i think). i wish they would of played motivation proclamation because that is my song but its ok cuz that song makes me cry when its played live. they played the usual songs off the second cd like my bloody valentine, lifestyles, riot girl, girls and boys, wondering, the anthem, story of my old man, hold on(i almost started crying during it), young and hopeless and moving on. off the latest cd they played predictable(during it Benji smiled at me), sos which is now so much more of a favorite song because Joel like wiped his nose as he was waving at me, i just wanna live(Dan from Young Love came out towards the end and sang the end of the song with them), walk away, the truth, world is black and mountain. they also played the two new songs from the next album, Good Morning Revival, they played keep your hands off my girl and misery which is gonna be my fav song off the new album. dont quote me on the songs though cuz its like 3:13am so my mind is drawing a little blank.
in between songs they had their usual stage banter and Joel said that everytime he comes to Jersey he falls in love which is why he only comes a couple times a year. he also said that he made his myspace himself and that Benji only has one so he can get a serious relationship. then Benji and Joel had a little argument over whether the NY show was better than the Jersey show and Benj said he liked the NY one better but Joel chose us Jersey peeps. Joel also joked about how they dont know if Billy is a vampire or not cuz whenever he asks him if he wants to go to lunch he said no he cant cuz its daytime. lol
so after the show Krystle found a thrown guitar pic that Billy had thrown and as we walked up closer to the stage I found one that Benji threw out. so now i have two pics of the one and only Benji Madden :). at the barricade i met up with my friend Mish and she showed me a picture of Benji that she had took for me of him smileing cuz she was lucky enough to get right in front of him but its ok cuz i had a good spot on the floor so no hard feelings.
after leaving Mish, Krystle and I went to go get our merch and we met the guys from Young Love and I got a pic with the singer, Dan. those guys are so nice and seem like really down to earth guys. then as i was waiting for Krystle to buy her hoodie i went to wait to get the singer of The Pink Spiders autograph when the security guy that was standing there started to talk to me. he seemed really nice and i wish i had gotten his name. if it wasnt for him i wouldnt have noticed that Matt started to walk away so i chased after him and got his autograph and a pic.
well thats it my amazing night. i didnt get a chance to meet my boys because they werent leaving till 2am and security outside said that they were getting right on their bus and leaving because it was raining outside. im a little bummed i didnt get to meet them but then again i didnt think i would cuz i have such bad luck at meeting them. but they say 7 is a lucky number so when they come back to Jersey it will be my 7th GC show so we will see just how lucky 7 really is.

well im off to dream sweet GC dreams and to see if i shall have a voice tomorrow cuz right now i do not..
